The biggest problem I see on this site is the plethora of paid sites--and this is a FREE site.
I understand that this site must be funded by advertisers but they should be clearly marked. I dislike being routed out to sites I've elxpored on previous occassions and want to be liked directly in this program, not sent elsewhere. Either clearly mark paid ads and sites. place them in a sidebar or generate a color-code to designate them as such.
Bottom line is the makes Passions cluttered and difficult to navigate.

Thanks for your comment.

You are right that the ads that show on the sites are what allows us to keep the network 100% free.

Each page within the network has it's own layout, and the ads that appear within each page are in exactly the same place.

In other words, once you look at a page and figure out where the ads are, you can be sure that the ads will be in the same place on the next similar page (ie. all the ads on profile pages are in the same place, all the ads on the search pages are in the same place, etc.)

The locations of ads on different types of pages does change a little, but only because the layout of the pages is not the same throughout the site.

For example, search pages and profile pages cannot have the same layout.

The best option for navigating the site is to always use the multi-color Navigation bar above.

Over time, as you get comfortable with the layout of the pages within the site(s) in your account, you should be able to identify the ad units easily.

If you look closely, you should find that most ads in the network do have some indication that it is an ad. Not all, but most.

We rarely ever hear that members are confused by the ads in the network, so we will consider your comment, but we do not plan on making any immediate changes to the page layouts.

Hopefully as you spend a little more time on the network, this issue will become a non-issue for you.

Thanks for your comment though, as we look to our members to give us their opinions on what is and is not working for them.
